The Review of Joker: Folie À Deux

 Joker: Folie À Deux was released on September 4th of 2024. It's a sequel of the 2019 film “Joker” as it was confirmed in the Middle of 2022 with Arthur Fleck to be played by Joaquin Phoenix and later Lady Gaga joined the Team. This film is labeled under DC Black and as it's name suggests it takes original characters and give them a Dark turn and it has a Movie in 2022 named “Birds of Prey”


This 2 hours and 18 minutes long movie Directed by Todd Phillips falls under the Genre of Thriller and Musical. This movie has a total of 16 songs under the Album “Harlequin” by Lady Gaga. This movie is totally based on the Aftermath of the first Joker movie.


The movie shows how The Joker Arthur Fleck faces the Law after what he caused in the first movie and here,he finds his love interest, Lee Quinzel portrayed by Lady Gaga. They instantly fall in love and later we learn that Lee is Doctor and she only got herself checked in that place only to meet Arther. She feeds Arthur's mind with Fables and he imagines a lot of things with her. And also the Prison Guards team led by Jackie Sullivan portrayed by Brendan Gleeson gave Arthur a very hard time that hindered his mental state. Amongst everything, Lee got intimate with Arthur and later learn that she got pregnant. On the other hand, The District Attorney Harvey Dent portrayed by Harry Lawty got Arthur in court and demanded Capital Punishment for his deeds. A lot of things take place in this movie that I better not spill. But the storyline doesn't add up to the other movies we see The Joker. 


This movie was made of a Budget nearing 200 million USD and Grossed estimated 264.7 million USD.


All in All, a good watch for everyone.
